Your Skin and Aging
Imagine that the basic, beautiful qualities of health and refinement remain stable throughout your lifetime. It is possible. The skin, as explained in Understanding Your Skin, is a responsive organ. How you treat your skin at the surface will reflect in the conditions of your skin.
Lines and wrinkles are the result of expression. The skin bends and folds when we smile, cry, eat, drink, and laugh. Will we ever stop doing any of this? I don’t think so. Keeping those lines soft and refined is possible if the skin can rebound from the expression. But in order for that to happen, the skin must be able to maintain its hydration from within.
Think of a sponge - if it is wet and we squeeze it, the sponge bounces back. If it is dry - it will not. For many decades the industry has focused on exfoliating in one form or another to eradicate wrinkles. This has side effects of dehydration, increased sensitivity, and increased redness - it is not sustainable.
I decided to place all of my trust in my body. Protect, Protect, and Protect. Allow my skin to heal at its optimum. From this approach, I have maintained soft lines, even skin tone, and a refined surface. Simply by not interfering with my body’s healing processes. I have many clients that have achieved and maintain the same glowing and healthy result.
Rather than burn and cover - heal and reveal. It is an incredibly different result - which is sustainable by everyone.
